In 2016, Grayson was diagnosed with Infant T-Cell Leukemia. Doctors said the 11-month-old had just a 10% chance of survival.
Numerous blood, platelet and plasma transfusions supported Grayson throughout his two years of chemotherapy and treatment.
It was a long road to recovery, but the Irwins held strong with the motto “tough as nails.”
In August of 2020, Grayson celebrated five years cancer free, which officially deems him a survivor.
He is now 8 years old and in second grade. He loves playing sports, riding his bike, and is obsessed with anything Star Wars.
