Charlie
Charlie was diagnosed with Infant Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on 8/10/2020. He achieved remission after the first month of treatment and continued 4 rounds of treatment. He was in the hospital through Thanksgiving and Christmas and had two other month-long stays early this year in 2021.
When he was just a week away from the maintenance phase of treatment he relapsed in the testicle and bone marrow on 5/17/2021.
He received a bone marrow transplant on 9/3/2021 with his father, Bobby, as his donor.
Blood and platelet transfusions have supported Charlie throughout his treatment and transplant.
Charlie is currently at Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte waiting for his new immune system to form.
