An entrepreneur for more than thirty years, Bud developed a landmark mixed-use medical office building in Coral Gables. His other real estate projects include medical office buildings in south Broward and Miami-Dade counties. He spearheaded the successful turnaround of a number of distressed assets and was a founder and top executive at Beach Bank, a community commercial bank, until its sale eight years after it was founded.

Bud’s civic engagement includes his current role as Mayor of the City of Sunny Isles Beach. For seven years prior to his election as Mayor, he served as a City Commissioner. In addition to his elected positions, he has served his community in myriad ways, among them as chair of the Charter Revision Commission, Historic Preservation Board and the Planning and Inter-governmental Affairs Board as well as a member of the City Manager’s Financial Advisory Committee.

As a regional leader, Bud was a member of the IT and Telecommunications Committee of the Board of Commissioners of Broward Health, one of the five largest hospital districts in the United States.
