1. Drink plenty of water prior to donating.
2. Eat a light healthy meal. Avoid fatty foods. Donating blood on an empty stomach is not recommended.
3. Eat iron-rich foods a few days leading up to your blood donation.
After you donate, we will notify you when your donation is on its way to a hospital and will even let you know which hospital your donation is delivered to.
