Pulse Survivors Share Stories

Orlando, Florida
May 8, 2017

Five Pulse survivors held a press conference today to talk about how they have turned their pain into purpose with their mission to save lives. Jeff, Ilka, Angel, Bryan and Tony each sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the Pulse tragedy and each required blood transfusions. Between the five of them, it took more than 60 blood donors to save their lives.

As the one year memorial of the Pulse tragedy nears, these five brave survivors have teamed up with OneBlood, the local blood center, to share their stories about how blood donors saved their lives and are encouraging people not to wait for a tragedy to donate blood.

They talked to the media today about the vital role blood donors played in their survival, and debuted the OneBlood campaign, in which they are featured throughout May and June. The following link contains interviews with the survivors at today’s press conference along with b-roll and slates with each survivor’s name for your use. https://www.oneblood.org/pulse-survivors-media-kit.stml
