I read that the problem with blocked arteries in men was that the iron in blood attaches to the cholesterol. This blocks the arteries and veins of men. The only way to stop this was to give blood. I feel so much better giving blood, almost 20 gallons! They laugh at me at work, but I do not care. Hopefully my blood has helped people in trouble and they survived. I think it is important to give back to our community and share a valuable piece of our life, our blood.
