Tonight, my partner and I were the last donors of the day for Claudia and Sarah on the Big Red Bus. Claudia graciously let us bring our 8-year-old daughter to watch the blood donation process, and Sarah was a most amazing teacher as she worked!
Sarah happily explained every single step to her, showing her what needed to be done, why it was done, and everyone we help by donating.
As we were finishing up, Claudia made all 3 of us beautiful bowties with the sticky tape! Our daughter kept repeating how grateful she was and how much she loved the experience. As a donor for 18 years, this was the most fun and educational donation I’ve had.
