My name is Caitlin Moody and I'm a blood donor. The reason donors are so vitally important and close to my heart, is because when my daughter, Alyssa, was born she required a few blood transfusions due to Congenital Heart Defects (CHD). Before her scheduled open heart surgery she spent five and a half months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). After her surgery she flourished and is four years old now.

Without blood donations, that necessary waiting period to get my baby girl stronger for such an extensive surgery would have been impossible. Thank you so much for all you do.
