Pinebluff, North Carolina

November 29, 2021, I arrived at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. I had a blood pressure reading of 80/42 and jaundice in my eyes, face, arms, and stomach. My iron was so low. My blood work was all over the place. I had no idea I had acute liver failure.

I was told I needed a blood transfusion. I have never been through that, but it was either get one or risk not making it through the night. I actually had 3 transfusions.

I just want to say I am truly blessed to be here today and amongst the living. Without the help of my blood donors, doctors, nurses, family, friends, prayer, and myself having the will to fight, I wouldn't be here! I am grateful for all involved in this life-changing event for me. I would like to thank each and every one of you who had a hand in helping me survive, and to God for giving me the willpower to fight.
