I started donating blood at RP Tew in Lakeland in 1977. I donated 8 gallons, and then in 2004 I got sick.
I had a bleeding ulcer after surgery and needed two more surgeries and 19 units of blood. I was very grateful for all the blood donors who were there when I needed help.
