Kershaw, South Carolina
I am a 38-year-old firefighter EMT from a small town in Southeastern Kentucky. I have been living in South Carolina with my family since October 2021. I am the only firefighter EMT in my family and, starting in June, I will be taking my advanced EMT Class - a step toward getting my RN then, hopefully, flight. I know what it’s like to save others’ lives being in the medical field.
Yet donating blood takes it to a whole new level of giving back to the community.
You see, I have a B- blood type, which puts me in the just 2 percent of people who share the same type.
I find it quite rewarding and a Blessing to be able to give a little part of me to someone else.
Saving lives is a gift.
Yet as you seen me wearing my lifeguard shirt in this photo. The same day I gave blood last, on May 17, 2022.
A reminder to me that I am just someone coming to help. For my FAITH is in Jesus Christ, and He walks on water.
God Bless Us All
