My name is Daniëlle, 28 years old. I came to the U.S. with my sisters, brother-in-law and their children for holiday. We are here for 3 weeks. After two weeks, I felt symptoms of anemia. At first I thought it was due to the Florida heat. Eventually I couldn’t ignore my symptoms anymore and I had to get checked.
My hemoglobin count was really low, and they diagnosed me with severe anemia. I had to get a blood transfusion. My blood donor saved my life! There are not enough words to thank my donor.
