I'm currently 41 and behind on the game. My grandfather, a veteran, was 83 years old and volunteered at a hospital 5 days a week until he passed. My aunt, a nurse, donated every chance she could for 30 years of her life. My whole family instilled in me value and purpose that service and servant leadership can provide. I know when times are tough and finances are tight this is something I can do. And it's something that can't be synthesized. It must be given as a gift to someone from whom you can expect nothing in return. That's why I donate.
