My blood donations started in 1990. My stepsister was diagnosed with Leukemia. I started donating platelets for her. When I asked the nurse my blood type, she told me I was O negative and CMV negative. I asked if that was good, and she told me it was very rare and that I should donate blood for the rest of my life. So, since 1990, I have donated over 20 gallons of blood. I am very proud of all the lives that I have saved. I highly recommend if your able to donate, please donate a pint at a time!
