I was always afraid of needles, but I was now free of Covid-19. Was it my obligation to donate Plasma? No. Did I have the personal desire to help others? Yes. And that made me face my fear of the needles.
What I found is that I was afraid of nothing. No pain, no soreness, nothing but a friendly smile from the people in my local Homestead Donor Center.
I walked out with T-shirt - which reminded me of when my Dad would collect his 5 Gallon Blood Donor coffee mug - a Covid-19 face mask, and knowing that someone may survive Covid-19 because I donated plasma.
