Jesse

Tampa, Florida

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in my left breast. Within two weeks, it grew to 10 centimeters.

I had a bilateral mastectomy. They also removed 10 lymph nodes.

During my surgery, I received reconstruction, and within two weeks, my body rejected the implants and my body went septic.

I had emergency surgery to remove them. During my surgery, I lost a dramatic amount of blood.

Jesse

I was told, “If you live 72 hours, we will have blood available.”

I was devastated and scared. But I was blessed with blood at 48 hours. And I lived!

I had to wait one year before I could donate blood, but I donate regularly now to save someone else’s life.
