I am sharing on behalf of my daughter, Kalyani. She is 11 years old and has been fighting a brain tumor, Medulloblastoma, for 2 years. She is today receiving her 22nd blood transfusion and her 23rd platelet transfusion in the last 2 years, due to the effects of cancer treatment on her body. She is 11!!!! On top of that, she has harder to match blood due to antibodies, making things more complicated. To say I feel so much gratitude for the donors is an understatement. Every single transfusion she has received has given her a chance to continue fighting forward. Making every donor, a hero in our hearts. Thank you! Donated blood saves lives. Children's lives.
