I donate blood because I have good veins and don't mind needles. If there are people out there overcoming their fears or anxiety in order to donate, then how can I NOT give when possible? ‘
My father was hospitalized last week, which meant many long days of sitting at his bedside and tending to his needs. When I saw the mobile bus unit outside the hospital, I figured I'd take a break and donate.
The phlebotomists were so caring and funny. We shared some really good belly laughs. I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent donating blood.
