While in Florida for the winter, my doctor put in a biventricular pacemaker/defibrillator. Unfortunately, he prescribed too much blood thinner, & I ended up bleeding internally. After having the leaks cauterized, I was found with a 7 hemoglobin count.
I have O negative blood, so it's not the most common or easiest to find. Thank heavens my donor volunteered because blood was really needed due to a lapse in donations during the pandemic.
I am now home from the hospital. My hemoglobin is improving daily. My husband, kids, grandkids, & I really appreciate my donor.
