My first time donating was in college at the age of 18. It was scary but the volunteers were supportive and gave me comfort and snacks. Who doesn't like free snacks!
I am now 57 and continue to give blood when I can because I can in the different states the I have lived. I have friends, family and neighbors that aren't able to donate because of their medications or health issues so it's an easy thing for me to do and it's a win/win. The incentives are a nice bonus!
OneBlood is very organized, the phlebotomists are always talkative and friendly and obviously enjoy their jobs at the different sites or buses I've donated. Thank you for continuing this very important program!
