John E. Murphy, Jr.

John Murphy is the recently retired Chief Financial Officer who formerly held responsibility for all financial aspects of OneBlood, as well as communications and public relations facilities, fleet and procurement. 

John now serves a strategic role as Executive Vice President, Corporate Administration and also serves as President of the OneBlood Foundation.   Additionally, he holds board positions for the company’s investment arm, OBF Investments, LLC and its software joint venture, ARC-One Solutions, LLC.

John E. Murphy, Jr.

Prior to OneBlood, John was a leader at Darden Restaurants, Inc. where he rose to the position of senior vice president with assignments in finance, real estate development, purchasing and distribution, information technology and mergers and acquisitions.  He began his career as a consultant for Arthur Andersen & Co., specializing in healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality and state and local government.

His community involvement includes an 11-year term on the Health Central Hospital Board of Trustees, where he also served as chair.  In July 2013 he was appointed by Florida Governor Rick Scott to serve as a Trustee of the West Orange Healthcare District and he continues to serve on the board of that organization.

John is a Certified Public Accountant and received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of South Florida.
