Taryn
Taryn knows that every donation has the power to save someone’s life. So, her question is: Why wouldn’t you donate?
A radio show host at 99ROCK in the Florida panhandle, Taryn often takes her passion for saving lives to the airwaves, encouraging listeners to step up and give.
“I’m crazy about donating, and talking about it,” she said. “It’s just one of those things I have to do.”
After discovering the power of donation in 2022, Taryn quickly became a regular at her local OneBlood donor center.
“Now I'm friends with everyone at my OneBlood location, and I've recruited a handful of friends to become donors also.”

She knows that a little time in the donor chair could mean a second chance at life for someone else, and she wants others to know that too.
“When my mom came to town for my birthday one year, I said, ‘Do you want to donate platelets with me when you get here? The only thing I want for my birthday is for you to donate.’”
At nearly 100 donations, Taryn has helped save hundreds of lives herself, and countless more by encouraging others to give too. She has no plans of slowing down.
“Everyone wants to be a hero in some way,” Taryn said. “I just like to encourage other people to donate, because why would you not?”
