Pamela Africk is the Chair and CEO of BestPractices USA Corporation. She is responsible for commercial healthcare consulting and support throughout North America and provides leadership for the company’s client sourcing and distribution units.
Africk has over 35 years of experience in healthcare. Before BestPractices USA, Africk was CEO of MedEx USA, a global sales and distribution company focused on managing, sourcing, and distributing disposable medical supplies. Prior to leading MedEx USA, Africk served as President of MetroMed, Inc., a consulting and supply company serving the hospice and home healthcare industries. Her career began at Foster Medical, followed by start-up and pioneer producer of diabetic blood glucose testing products, Lifescan Inc. Following Lifescan’s company acquisition by Johnson & Johnson, Africk served in a leadership position at Johnson & Johnson.
Pamela currently serves on the Board of the Broward Regional Health Planning Counsel (BRHPC), the Broward Behavioral Health Counsel (BBHC), the American Heart Association, and is the Chairperson of South Florida Health. She is President of Mended Hearts and previously served as Chairperson and Board Member of CenterOne, South Florida’s oldest and largest AIDSHIV service agency. She also served on the Board of Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Ms. Africk holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.
