Where Are They Now
In 2015, Jaime shared her story of her life changing first blood donation in 2006 at age 16.
OneBlood’s pre-donation health screening saved her life when she discovered her blood pressure was extremely high.
After multiple tests, doctors determined she had a narrowed renal artery that required surgery. Ultimately, Jaime had an emergency surgery that saved her kidney.
The teen made a full recovery and has remained in great health since.
Now, she continues to monitor her blood pressure and kidney health, but it hasn’t slowed her down at all.
After a healthy pregnancy, Jaime and her husband welcomed their son in 2018. Her daughter was born in May last year.
Though her children keep her busy, Jaime also works full-time in public accounting and plays an active role in her Tampa community.
She remains incredibly grateful for the pre-donation health screening that helped save her life.
