Just weeks after her 2nd birthday, Jazmina was admitted to the PICU where she began treatment for leukemia. We quickly realized chemotherapy would come with an urgent, sometimes daily need for blood and platelet transfusions. Some days, she needed multiple transfusions just to keep fighting. Each bag of donated blood became a lifeline, buying us precious time to hold her hand, to play her favorite songs, to give her all of our love.
Though Jazmina passed away only three months after her diagnosis, we are incredibly grateful for that time. To anyone who donates, we extend our heartfelt gratitude.
