OneBlood Team Members Rescue Man From Car Crash

Tampa, FL
December 19, 2019

OneBlood team members headed to a Big Red Bus blood drive in Tampa, Florida, witnessed an accident unfold right in front of them. The team jumped into action, relied on the training they received at OneBlood and rushed to assist the victim. While trying to pull the man out of the car, they realize the driver was actually the son of another OneBlood team member!

“I was in shock. The world is really small to think the person we actually helped was a co-worker’s son.”
-Elayne Hill, OneBlood team member

The victim, Terrance Benjamin, lost control of his vehicle and his car flipped multiple times near the area of Hillsborough Avenue and 50th Street in Tampa. He suffered a broken arm, a collapsed lung and dislocated knee. But thanks to the effort of the OneBlood team he is healing and expected to recover.

Terrance’s mother is Tiffany Brown and also works at OneBlood. Needless to say, she is extremely grateful to her co-workers for rushing to saver her son.
