My name is Rachel Mixell, sister of Officer Lauren Valdes. I have Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. I have received many blood and platelet transfusions, and without those donations - your donations - I would not be able to combat the effects of this cancer and safely receive chemotherapy.
