Winter Storm Closures in the Carolinas

 Donor Centers in North Carolina, as well as Greenville, South Carolina, are OPEN.

Big Red Bus blood drives will start operations at 11:00am, with the exception of Greensboro Blood Drives, which will remain closed.

 

For donors outside of the Carolinas, we ask that you brave the cold and donate to support the blood supply. Your donation is critical to helping us meet the needs of patients in our communities.

Hurricane Preparedness

Hurricane season started June 1 and will end on November 30. If you haven’t prepared for hurricane season, it’s not too late! We will be providing you with safety tips throughout the season to help you stay prepared.


  • Determine your risk
  • Develop an evacuation plan
  • Have emergency supplies in place at home, at work, and in the car.
  • Review personal documents, finances, and insurance policies.
