In 2017 I went to the hospital with severe dizziness, shortness of breath, vision loss, and bleeding. I was diagnosed with severe low hemoglobin and was given multiple blood transfusions. Due to the kind gift of several strangers, I am alive and well today. I am a nursing instructor at the local nursing college, and when I teach my students about blood transfusions, I also tell my story.
