I've donated my blood since my college days at the University of Illinois. Since then, I've lived in Oregon, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida (where I've now retired). I wish I had kept track of my gallons throughout my life, but I'm nearing the 10-gallon mark just since my 2014 retirement to Florida. I give because long ago I realized how important my 0- blood can be. I am a volunteer at heart, but this is my only life-long "membership" that goes with my volunteer spirit.
