I have donated blood in the past but never platelets as it wasn't an obvious option. The folks from OneBlood arrived in Marathon in 2 air conditioned buses, set up a small BBQ and as cruisers and sailors found time in their schedule, they donated blood or platelets and had a bite to eat. Very modern technology and professional and caring staff. It was a rewarding experience for me to contribute to this worthy cause.
