I was diagnosed with stage 5 kidney failure and had many blood transfusions throughout the course of it. I wish I could say how many times I had to be brought to the emergency room to receive blood transfusions but, to be honest, I’ve lost count.
I was extremely blessed with a miracle of a second chance at life on 12/19/2016. I thank God often for the beautiful balance he’s design that I call life.
As I live and breathe to continue my life’s journey and purpose, a young man around my age doesn’t. I am so grateful that he registered to be an organ donor, and I cannot say thank you enough.
I also would like to thank all of the blood donors and platelet donors! Without your generosity, I wouldn’t have lived long enough to receive a kidney transplant. I also wouldn’t be here to celebrate another birthday back on May 1, 2019!
I am so truly 100% thankful for all of the donors out there, from blood donation to platelet donation to organ donations. I hope you know how truly valuable you/we all are.
