The 1st time I gave whole blood was a week after I turned 16. I just wanted something to do as a 16 year old kid. At 1st I did it for the goodies and for fun gift cards but after 10 times of giving, a year later and gave given a gallon of blood. I do it for random people. I do it for the hope that they will go home and see their family.
Now 17, I give platelets every 2 weeks with my dad as a family bonding and I do it for a memorial to my family that has died from cancer. Please donate it doesn't take that long and the few minutes of a needle in you could be live changing to someone.
