I realized some years ago that I was O negative CMV negative when I donated in Syracuse New York where I lived. I moved to Nixa Missouri 3 years ago with my wife so we could be closer to our son who graduated from a Christian College in Springfield Missouri. I continue to give blood every 56 days because there is an urgent need for my blood especially for babies and they call me on day 56 and ask me to please come in again. I have given over 20 gallons and I do not intend to stop anytime soon. It is a privilege to save lives and I am a retired nurse from the VA hospital in Syracuse New York and it is my way of staying involved. Thanks for letting me let others know how important it is to donate blood.
