I am afraid of needles and I also have spider vine. But I always wanted to give blood to save someone’s life but I was scared of the needle. One day I followed my husband to service his car and I saw the Big Red Bus. I said to my daughter, let go give some blood. My heart was beating. My daughter couldn’t give blood because she just did medical for school. I gave blood. What inspired me to give again is when I received a card from Liam who is 12 years old who is fighting cancer telling me thanks. It melts my heart. And I did give blood again last month and I am glad I did because everything was fine and I will continue to give blood to save lives.
