I have been a blood donor for over 30 years and platelet donor for the last almost ten years. I'm 85 years old and still trying to get donations in ever two-three weeks. Sometimes my iron is a little low, but I just eat a lot of red meat and broccoli, etc. before going the next time and that usually works. I hope to continue donating until the end--whenever that will be!
