Donors Centers close at 3pm, and blood drives end at 2pm on Wednesday, December 24 and OneBlood will be closed on Thursday, December 25.

I was diagnosed with CIDP (chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy) about 11 years ago. My treatment was IVIG every 4 weeks for several years. One IVIG treatment requires 3000 to 10000 blood donations. It really blew my mind that there were that many people who donated in order for me to get my treatments.

I was unable to donate at the time, but I always said to myself that if the day came that I was able to donate, I would do so. Well, the day came and I am so happy to give back. Donating really gives me a sense of fulfilling a personal obligation to the world. Life is good.
