COVID-19 & Blood Donation

Beginning August 1, 2021 OneBlood is requiring all donors to wear a mask, regardless of their vaccination status.

Our decision to return to requiring masks for all donors comes after the CDC updated its masking guidelines and recommends fully vaccinated people to begin wearing masks indoors again in places with high COVID-19 transmission rates.

OneBlood’s entire service area is experiencing a significant surge of COVID-19 cases.  We will continue to follow recommendations by the CDC to help keep our team members and donors safe.

It’s important that people who are eligible to donate blood, platelets or convalescent plasma make it habit.  By donating each time you are eligible you are helping ensure a ready supply is available at all times.
